Litter Picking at Hampstead Heath

Last week, Team DA kicked off a new initiative by dedicating a day to cleaning up Hampstead Heath. Our team of eight volunteers spent the day collecting litter across the park’s vast expanse.

Following a briefing from park officials, we dispersed across the park to tackle the areas most in need of attention. The sheer volume of discarded waste we encountered was disheartening, serving as a stark reminder of the ongoing issue of litter pollution. Despite the challenges posed by the weather and the scale of the task, our team remained dedicated to making a difference. We believe that even the smallest actions can have a significant impact on our environment. By contributing to the clean-up of Hampstead Heath, we have taken a small step towards a cleaner, greener community.

To maintain our commitment to a litter-free Hampstead Heath, Team DA will be organising regular clean-up efforts, i.e., every Monday. We invite members of the public to join us in this important initiative.
