Crouch End Easter Egg Trail Delights the Community

27th April 2022

We had the best time at our Crouch End Easter Egg Trail during Easter weekend.

The local community showed up in huge numbers to take part and it was lovely to see so many children and parents enjoying the hunt in the sunshine – we definitely have some future detectives in our midst!

Each child had to decipher a list of clues, which led them to independent businesses and shops where they received a stamp for each location visited. Once they had collected all the stamps they returned to David Astburys to collect their Easter egg prize.

A big shout out to Stanley – who was the first child to finish the trail after visiting all 18 locations! – and to our three lucky golden egg winners who won baskets filled with extra special Easter themed activities and sweet treats.

We were delighted to give away nearly 300 Easter eggs as prizes on the day and donate a further 100 eggs to Hornsey Food Bank.

A huge thank you to all the children and parents from our Crouch End community who took part and made it such a great event.

Arianna the Real Wonder Woman

We were delighted to have a very special guest, 6-year-old Arianna, who unveiled her beautiful mural on our Crouch End shopfront window, alongside her Mum Abi and sister Maya.

It was wonderful to see this brave little girl having fun after a very difficult few months. She is battling neuroblastoma and approaches each hospital visit with courage and positivity – truly a superstar!

We are fundraising to help Arianna receive life-saving treatment, which could cost upward of £100,000.

The stunning mural of Arianna was created by Dominique, an immensely talented local artist.
